This upcoming production car is one that truly deserves the name “F1 derived”.
It does so because it features pretty much the same 1.6 litre turbocharged 90 degree V6 from Lewis Hamiltons grand prix car.
That means a combined output of over 1000 horsepower from the V6 and electric motors.
It will however be tuned to be longer lasting than the F1 engine, but it still means that every 50k kms ( or about 31k miles) it will need a rebuild.
Acceleration is a massive 6 seconds to 200 kilometers per hour and top speed is over 350 kilometers.
Transmission will be an eight speed automated manual with single clutch instead of dual for weight savings. Electric power will drive the front wheels while the V6 handles the rear.
The Project One is expected to be in production in 2019 and will be produced in a total of only 275 units.
The price? Well as expected its not cheap and its reported to be minimum € 2 275 000.
